THE BEST KIND OF
STRING is a charming picture book dedicated to the idea that giving is better
than receiving. Children and parents
alike will enjoy and appreciate the lovely idea of tying gifts “with love, the
best kind of string.”
Realizing that
while getting is nice, giving is too, children ponder the best gifts to
give. Ms. Dubbeld aptly explores the
lovely idea of giving “heart gifts” instead of just “things” which is a
wonderful concept to foster in children and one to which all can relate.
KC Snider’s
illustrations are beautifully colorful and vivid and bring the author’s story
and characters to life. Children will
see a variety of ethnicities in the illustrations which encourages acceptance
across cultures.
This
heart-warming picture book celebrates the joy of giving with love and promotes
thinking of others. It is perfect for children ages 1-10.
