Make the Decision to Pursue and Press On

I happened to look down at my weekly calendar today.  I don't always do so despite having specifically chosen one that had good quotes to read on a weekly basis.  Today, I did, and I am glad.

In the words of Amelia Earhart...

"The most difficult thing is the decision to act, the rest is merely tenacity.  The fears are paper tigers.  You can do anything you decide to do.  You can act to change and control your life; and the procedure, the process is its own reward."

So today, as we embark on a new week (and soon a new month), decide to act.  Read, write, research, edit, market...whatever it is you need to do.  Do it.  Don't let the fear of the what ifs prevent your action.  Decide to do it and just. do. it!  Go grab that reward with both hands and be productive.  I've spent a couple hours organizing my mess of a desk and pile of to-dos today, so I can hit the road running in the morning.  I hope you can too.

Happy writing/doing this week!  If you feel so inclined, please check back in at the end of the week and let me know how it went.

  1. A great quote. Lately, I've been trying to reorganize. My writing room is a mess. I can't find anything. I'm attempting to do too many things at once. A major overhaul is due. Control my life, like the quote says. Thanks for the idea.
